The CD includes a varied collection of vocal and instrumental performances by children from the school. Pictured on the right (in the slideshow) are some of our pupils recording various pieces for the CD compilation. Below are four tracks from the CD (playing is ‘A Gaelic Blessing’ performed by the school choir).

The Chapel Choir were winners in three categories at Derby Arts Festival 2004: hymn singing, mixed voices, and small schools. We were also winners at Buxton Festival 2003 and Derby Festival 2003. In recent years Smallwood musicians have performed at the Albert Hall, London, The Victoria Hall, Hanley, and the Symphony Hall, Birmingham. Over recent years we have had ten pupils in the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain.
