The Circus Comes to Smallwood Manor
October 27, 2009
On October 15 every year group, from the Robins to Year Six, enjoyed a demonstration and workshop from the Montana Circus. In the workshops the children were shown how to do the following:
● Balancing a peacock feather on various body parts, (poor peacock!)
● How to juggle like a real pro! (The children weren’t allowed to juggle the eggs!)
● Plate spinning (luckily the circus supplied their own plates, which was a huge relief for the catering staff!)
● The older children tried their hands at the ‘Diablo’ (thankfully they were made of rubber!)
After school the circus set up a shop so that budding clowns could practise their balancing and plate spinning at home.
